During our introductory week of Discovery, we introduced ourselves, learned what science is and about some of the fascinating items scientists study, and best of all, we explored the Discovery room! The hands-on centers involved: magnets; building structures (and shapes); weight/balance; sensory/touch; sensory/sound; woodland and arctic animals, and rock exploration. It was a wonderful start of our year together! (Note: I did not see my oldest or youngest explorers the first week.)
